Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Payer Communication: Contact insurance payers to verify medical claim statuses, pursue timely claim adjudications, and resolve unpaid, partial, or denied claims.

• Claims Management: File claims with complete supporting documentation, process incoming and outgoing correspondence, and file formal appeals on disputed claims.

• A/R Adjustments: Update, verify, and reconcile Accounts Receivable records based on correspondence and remits received from insurance carriers.

• Guideline Tracking: Stay updated on medical coverage changes and communicate updates to internal teams and customers.

• Operations Support: Partner with Candid’s Strategy & Operations team to identify trends in billing errors/denials and streamline workflows while maintaining full HIPAA compliance.

Candidate Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), healthcare billing, or healthtech.

• Technical Skills: Solid working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding sets.

• Mindset: An analytical, investigative approach to solving complex billing issues and making data-backed decisions.

• Work Ethic: High self-motivation, strong intuition for prioritizing quality versus speed (“done is better than perfect”), and effective multitasking ability.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a cooperative, positive team attitude.

Compensation & Term
